SLOWSTOP HISTORY
The SlowStop Bollard was invented in 2010 in Belgium by the same inventors as the Hercules Bollard. Hercules was a successful product that also allowed a bollard to tilt when impacted, but was complicated and expensive.
Previously known as SoftStop®, the SlowStop Bollard has been extensively tested by the testing firm TÜV Rheinland TNO and is proven through a large installation base. With worldwide patents, and patents pending, the SoftStop® bollard is manufactured in Europe and is available exclusively through Impact Recovery Systems and authorised distributors.
